Example of Design the Building for Beam and Column, Determine Axial Force, Bending Moment Diagrams, and Shear Force by ETABS.

Number of floors = 2

Column Height = 4 m

Column sizes = 0.4 x 0.4 m

Beam Sizes = 0.4 x 0.58 m

Slab Thickness = 0.18 m

Material Properties:

Concrete; fc’ = 30 Mpa (Columns)

Concrete; fc’ = 25 Mpa (Other members)

Steel: fy = 420 Mpa (A615 Steel)

Assume the footings are single footings on soil

(not rock)

Set End Length Offsets = 0

Loading:

Load Case 1: Deal Load:

Self-Weight

2 kN/m2

Load Case 2: Live Load:

2.5 kN/m2

Use Auto Combination to make:

1.4 DL

1,2 DL + 1.6 LL
